Q: Do I need to pay the association fee?
A: For you to compete in any regattas you must be a member of the Victorian 9ers Association. This fee helps:
- Fund the Vic 9ers 29er coaching program/ camps with specific coaches who have sailed 29ers,
- Assist Clubs with sailors who wish to sail in the 9er fleet with support and training
- Providing a pathway to sailing a 49er/49erFX
- Provide regular updates on the class, future regattas Vic 9ers are attending
- Supporting our Vic 9ers sailors at the National level of sailor development
- Subsidises coaches for large events
- The ability to compete at the Vic 9ers Travellers series, State and National Titles
- Parents and/or guardians of sailing members (under 16) will automatically become members of the Vic 9ers Association Inc, they are eligible to vote at an AGM.
- The membership year runs from 1 November to 30 October
$85 p.a.
If you have been a Vic 9er member for 3 years and age 18 + member fee is reduced to $55
Would you please add in the Sailors name when registering, not the parents name.
Q: Do I need to pay this fee?
A: All 29ers must be member of the International Body to compete in the Australian Nationals. This fee goes towards marketing the 29er class world wide. Fees are due from the 1st of November each calendar year.
29er sailors need to pay the international membership fee if they compete in continental world championships. This includes AUS 9er Australian Championships.
